The task of reconciling the 'Picture This!' database and file system is nearly complete! It may take a while longer to get the entire photo library and the accompanying captions humming.

One tube releasing - First Drop
One tube releasing
One tube releasing - I popped a thigh strap here...and kept right on a'goin'...
One tube releasing
One tube releasing, but by this point the 1 + 1/3 tubes "afternoon release" had caught up to us we are quite certain.

One tube releasing was the Saturday am plan, but well before our foursome reached the take-out the 1 + 1/3 tubes "afternoon release" had caught up to us we are quite certain. This new gauge stick is on the bridge abutment at the take-out where the river passes beneath Rt 15 - installed earlier this year through the generosity of Morrisville Water and Light. It is reading about 2' 9". There is similar new gauge stick just off of Reservoir Road, upstream from the put-in.
2/3 of a tube of water, Sunday am, picture to show the right hand alternative to the first drop at this level. The gauge at the take-out where the river passes beneath Rt 15 was reading 2' 5" (or at most 2' 6").
This is the next feature below the first drop, at 2/3 of a tube of water Sunday am. The boil on river left pushes you toward the rock I'm standing on (river right) which is undercut, and if you start out too far right there is a sticky-looking hole upstream of this rock.
At 2/3 of a tube, it's a little thin anyplace the river widens out like this, but that also gives you more time to plan your route and to hop out in one of the plentiful eddies to scout the next ledge drop if you are just getting to know the river.
