The task of reconciling the 'Picture This!' database and file system is nearly complete! It may take a while longer to get the entire photo library and the accompanying captions humming.
Volume Album Event Rivers North Branch - Lamoille River OC Trio
Looking upstream from the 2nd covered bridge. Only Paul Carlile attempted "the slide" today, which after much contemplation and readying of throw ropes was (for the onlookers, at least) anti-climactic.
Randy rides the crest of a Haystack just below a popular summer swimming hole on the North Branch.
This shot epitomizes the North Branch's lower gorge: fast and small with no place to hide !
Paul Carlile runs the sloping remnants of the Waterville Dam with surgical precision.
Tony runs the sloping remnants of the Waterville Dam with surgical indecision.
The horizon line from above this drop in Waterville is ominous. From below you can see why. Still, Randy stayed cool, calm, and collected !
Looking back upstream the series of class IV drops in Waterville resemble a staircase. In high water this stretch would be absolutely ferocious.
By the final drop it was evident that Paul tamed, Randy survived, and Tony succumbed to the Waterville gorge...and we'll all be back for more !
